Introduction to Birth Family Search

Since G.O.A.'L was founded in 1998, the cornerstone of our services offered to adoptees has been assistance and support with birth family search.   The G.O.A.'L Birth Family Search (BFS) Department is run by a full-time BFS Director and support staff assisted by our network of volunteer translators and interpreters that help adoptees throughout each step of the process.  For more information on the BFS process, please visit our Step-by-Step Guidelines to Birth Family Search through G.O.A.'L page.

BFS Services offered by G.O.A.'L:

Fees Involved

G.O.A.'L strongly advocates for free assistance and support with regard to birth family search for all adoptees.  Therefore, we do NOT charge any fees for our services related to the BFS process.  However, if you'd like to support the organization and our ability to improve our services and continue to help more adoptees like you, please consider registering as a member or making a donation.
