Birth Family Search Mentor (French speaker) - Opportunity to work in Seoul, monthly stipend, & health insurance
Based out of Seoul, G.O.A.’L is an adoptee-led organization that assists not only adoptees currently living in Korea but also those living around the globe. Since our founding in 1998, our vision has been to be the link that connects adoptees to each other and also to their native country, Korea. And that’s where you come in!
As the French speaking Birth Family Search Mentor, you will be directly involved in all aspects of G.O.A.’L birth family searches. This position provides a special way to impact the Korean adoptee community.
Main tasks include birth family search case management, networking and collaborating with partner organizations and authorities, working together with the Volunteer Coordinator.
Ability to communicate on a working level of French (necessary for email, in-person, and phone communication)
Computer skills (Microsoft Office, Google Apps, etc.)
Ability to communicate on a working level of English
Ability to remain neutral and professional when discussing potentially controversial or sensitive topics
Ability to communicate in Korean
Experience handling sensitive, confidential information
Expected Hours: 20 hours / week (80 hours / month)
Holidays: All Korean national holidays
Stipend: 8,595 / hour + national health insurance, paid sick leave
