G.O.A.'L 2014 Newsletter Spring Issue
We have been having a very productive past couple of months here at GOA’L. We are working very hard on planning out the events and activities for this year and have already had a few events for the community like the Town Hall Meeting, Post Reunion Discussion, and going to watch a SK Knights basketball game.
We always look forward to seeing you out at our events and hope to create spaces for adoptees to join together and get to know each other better. If you have ideas or comments about how we can improve this aspect or if you would like to take on a leadership role in our community, we would love to hear from you.
As part of the community building focus for the year, we are looking for individuals who would like to start a club in an area that they are already active and interested in leading a small group of other adoptees in activities.
For example, the GOA’L Bowling Club has been meeting regularly on Sundays since the end of February and will continue to do so until the end of March. Participation is steadily growing and we’re all having a great time! It will pick up again from July for a three month period so come on out!
If you are interested in joining bowling or any other event, take a look at our events calendar on our website. It will be updated before the end of each month for the following month’s activities.
We thank you for your support and appreciate your patience as we work tirelessly on your requests for BFS assistance and other services we provide. We are working on increasing our resources to accommodate the demand for our services, but it may take some time. In the meantime, we appreciate your patience as it may take up to a month for replies to BFS requests.
Don’t forget to download the GOA’L app! It’s available on iTunes and Google Play Store now. It gives you an easy way to keep track of what we’re doing and also it can help to save you money at our events! Read more about in this newsletter.
Thanks and hope to see you at one of our events soon!
