Group Therapy for Adult Adoptees

Join a space for Korean adult adoptees to
gather and openly talk about their lives.


Possible topics may include, but are not limited to:
- Living in two worlds: Successfully negotiating multiple identities
- Relationships: family, friends and colleagues
- Developing strategies: Coping with your current life situation
- Feeling lost: Finding support
- Topics Suggested by Group Members
 
The group is limited to 7 members.
All adoptees (regardless of origin of country) are welcomed to join. All sessions will be
conducted in English. All stories shared during the workshop will be kept confidential.        
 
Dates: 6/17-8/19, every Wednesday for 10 weeks
Joining this group requires a regular commitment for the 10 sessions
Time: 7:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.
Location: Yongsan Park Tower, Building 101 Conference Room
Facilitator: MinJung (MJ) Doh, Ph.D.
Participation fee: 15,000 KRW/session (payment in cash only; exact change is appreciated)
G.O.A.’L will subsidize the cost of therapy for members

Directions (by subway): Take subway line 4 or the Central line (Jungang) to Ichon Station →
Walk straight out of Exit 1 for about 100 meters → Turn right at the first signal light → Walk
straight, you can see the road crossing on left → Cross the road and walk in the entrance
to the Parking lot → enter building 101 → ask for the conference room
